Help the visually impaired gain more independence by providing accessible educational programs.

Founded in Santiago in 1988, the non-profit organisation’s principal mission is to offer assistance to people who are visually impaired through rehabilitation and labor assistance.  The organisation provides educational programs, assistance with converting documents into the Braille alphabet, free meals, and healthcare checkups.  It also provides audible educational resources for schools and universities.  You will learn useful techniques to assist the visually impaired,  teach language courses, tend to the schools’ vegetable garden, or help in the computer science centre.

You will be guided and supported by the school staff while taking part in orientations upon arrival, during mid-stay, and at the end of your stay.  During these orientations, you’ll learn about the importance of relationship-building with your host family and local community.
