Be part of building a better future for underprivileged youth by offering time and support at an after school program at a community centre. You will organise games and sports, do arts and crafts, and lead after school activities.

You will work with a nonprofit organisation that helps youth living in socially marginalized and extremely impoverished areas of Argentina. The organisation runs an after school program that offers meals and activities with the goal of providing healthy development, happiness, and a hopeful future for children living in Ciudad Oculta, a small town in southern Buenos Aires.

This program also has the option of taking Spanish classes in an International Spanish Institute located in Buenos Aires. You can take classes in the morning and volunteer in the afternoon.

The activities change each day and you can sign up for all 5 days or just the days you want to participate in, making this an ideal option for those looking for flexibility in their volunteer commitment.

Volunteer activities occur every day of the week in the afternoon. Here are some of the activities available:

● Fútbol game
● Arts and crafts
● Birthday parties
● Preparation of snacks

Every afternoon you will meet in the city and commute together in a private vehicle (car or van) to the community centre. The nonprofit mainly runs activities near Ciudad Oculta, a small town in the southern area of the city, however this may change.

● Duration – 2 – 24 weeks
● Beginning any Monday
● Schedule – Monday to Friday, 2pm to 6pm
● Spanish Requirement – None
● Average Commute – 30 minutes in private transport
● Culture Shock Level – High
● Minimum Age – 18

The team at AFS Argentina are looking forward to discussing the programmes with you and can be called or Whatsapp’d on +54 911 6858 9131 between 12pm and 8pm.

Alternatively apply now and we’ll call you back.
